Tucson, AZ - In a heartwarming display of community solidarity, Tucson barber legend Tommie Clardy and his family organized a backpack giveaway event for Tucson's youth. Held at Tommie's Barber and Beauty Shop, the event united locals in a powerful demonstration of support.
Tommie Clardy, owner of the barber shop, and his family spearheaded the event, while Scott Williams, President of the Phoenix Chapter, led the charge. The event epitomized the National Alliance's ethos of positive change through unity.
Youth attendees were handed out 200 backpacks loaded with school supplies, setting them up for academic success. Beyond supplies, the event offered free haircuts, Jimmy Johns, Eegee's and drinks, filling the day with smiles and laughter.
The Southern Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers handed attendees' school supplies, candy and a much-needed history lesson on black soldiers. A history that many of us have never heard.
Phoenix Chapter scholar athletes, David Baba from Ironwood Ridge High School, and Nathan Spivey Jr from Salpointe Catholic signed autographs and took selfies.
